I’m keeping the First!Masquerade entry on pause for a bit longer, as I am reminded of a lot of Significant Fannish Anniversaries coming up in the near future. I want to get to the point in the telling of my fannish history where I can use the Significant Anniversary of an Event to be the reason for blogging about it.

Twenty-five years ago today, the Federation (although we weren’t known as that yet) filmed its first fan video, “The Five Faces of Doctor Booh.” Gah, I feel old.
(I hope to get up to that day in my fannish memory blogging soon– now that the current season is over and all that…. And, really, it’s just an entry (or two) before I get there…..)

Sorry. Am still too angry over what happened to Donna to be able to write about the season finale in any coherent fashion. (My only comfort is that, despite the on-the-surface fairy tale ending, Rose pretty much got dumped on, too.) HMPH!

Well, the little Viewing Society I’m in is going to watch the 2nd half of the story on Saturday night (magic pixie delivery elves allowing) instead of waiting for the following Monday as usual. That is how powerful the episode (and its cliffhanger) was.
Let’s go for all the details, shall we?
